The Shap Leg.

A wet and misty leg to Shap.
All met up for our last days walking together as a Foursome since we left from the start at St Bees.
It was looking very grey and misty as we set off from Patterdale and made our way up to Angletarn Pikes.
We were walking through low cloud and mist as we passed Angle Tarn and made our way to the Knott.
As we made our way to Kidsey Pike the weather began to clear a bit making our slow descent down to the shores of Haweswater.
There were many Fell Runners passing us along the banks of the lake we seemed to go on for ever.
Eventually we reached the dam at the end of Haweswater where we had to say goodbye to Maggie who I had walked with from the very first day who was staying the night at Burnbanks.
The walking was much flatter now as we were leaving behind the Lake District and making our way to our stopover in Shap.
We reached the ruins of Shap Abbey and eventually my lodgings at New Ing Lodge.
